This historic former bank building had been vacant for years when it was purchased by the Berks County Convention Center Authority. The first phase of renovation has been completed to stabilize the existing façade and return the architecture to its original design intent.
Future phases of renovation will convert the building into a meeting and conference facility for the neighboring the Santander Arena, Berks County’s Convention Center, as well as office space for the Reading Royals, the local minor league ice hockey team.
The project was completed in 2002. Existing work was exterior only. The three levels house approximately 15,000 sq. ft.
