This three-story eldercare facility at Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Douglassville, PA was completed in 2005. It is named after the historical first residence of the area.
The 110-unit facility provides apartments for both independent and assisted living, as well as a variety of support facilities, including resident dining rooms, lounges, library, salon, laundry, and banking, among others. It shares a 3+ acre site with the renovated church and the historic cemetery. The site features an integrated landscaped development of walks, parking, outdoor dining and recreation.
The Good Shephard Learning Center on the site promotes multi-generational interaction due to the proximity of the buildings and the ease of site access.
In 2008 a three-story addition was added. This addition houses 15 additional assisted living units and 2 live-in staff units. A new community room has also been added next to the main entrance.
The combined sq. ft. of this structure is 118,800.
