This expansion and renovation project is the culmination of an aggressive two year fund raising effort spearheaded by the Library’s Capital Campaign Committee and supported by Olsen Design Studio.
This Project consists of the phased addition of 1,600 sq. ft. of accessible library space, the addition of an exit stair, the renovation of the existing library space and the renovation of the lower level administrative space. This library remained open 7 days a week during construction. The Phase One addition was completed July 16, 2007.
This project received funding from the Berks County Community Development Office, Keystone Grants, DCED Grants and the Capital Campaign Fund. This funding stream required approval of the project from the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission.
